09-08-2008 New Release from NAAS: After months of planning the National Association of Arms Shows (NAAS) is pleased to announce a new exciting event. This is an unprecedented first-time event that gives gun owners, gun enthusiasts and the gun industry an extraordinary opportunity to protect gun rights as well as gun shows. On the weekend of October 4-5, 2008, the members of NAAS will hold "The National Arms Show" at the Atlanta Expo Center, 3650 Jonesboro Road, SE, Atlanta, GA 300354. This is a landmark facility with virtually unlimited parking. This show will have 2,000 tables available at $75,00 each and will feature antique and collectible firearms, modern firearms, militaria, ammo and shooting and hunting accessories. This show will be produced and run by various members of NAAS and 100% OF THE PROCEEDS WILL GO TO NAAS LEGISLATIVE EFFORTS TO PROTECT GUN SHOWS. As you all know, the changing administration will not be friendly to gun shows, regardless of who is elected President. NAAS has been grossly under-funded, however no federal anti-gun legislation has been passed since its beginning. If fun shows are to continue, NAAS must be strong. NAAS is the only organization dedicated soley to protecting gun shows. The new mailing address is: 01-22-2007 Completed update of site with all promoters, all states possible verified. Also changed site to use include files so as to speed up changes across the site and added google adsense advertisements to all pages. Adding the ads should assure continued ad revenue to support the site over the long haul. 10-24-2007 Apologies: The site has been hacked (kindof) by liberal activists. The Newsmax.com ad that has appeared in the header the last few days is NOT the opinion of this website or anyone attached to it!! I have banned Newsmax.com from my advertising list and you should not see it in the future The ad was placed through Google ad sense a advertising program that pretty much pays for the site. The ad, for those of you who may not have seen it, was a basic ad for voting for Hilary on some Newmax poll. If it was meant to attract attention, it did. I sent a email to the editors of Newsmax.com and barred them from my advertising list. I personely think it rather stupid of anyone trying to advertise such a liberal position on such a conservative website. It seems to me to be totally counter productive,, I rather doubt I would suggest to any conservative candidate to advertise on moveon.org. All it would do is enrage the liberals there. All this ad could do is enrage the conservatives here. Although that may have been one of the purposes of doing it. By upsetting my readership possibly they could hurt the website and thereby reduce interest in Gun shows. Hopefully those of you who saw the ad will understand what happened and rest assured every action I can possible take has been taken and will continue to be taken to stop any such ads in the future.
5-2-2005 Added a forum and crashed the site. The site is back up and fixed and you will be seeing new navigational tools on the home page and on each of the state pages in the next couple of days. Please visit the forum. You don't need to do anything if you just want to read the posts but must register to post your own messages.
6-15-2004 Thanks to tm for e-mailing a question about a conflict of information on Gunshows-USA and C & E Shows site. Because of his letting someone know we have been able to fix the problem and now have the correct dates listed here on Gunshows-USA.com. This reminds us to remind all of you to be sure to check with the promoter before travelling to a show to insure it is still being held. I make every effort to make this site as accurate as possible "BUT" I can and do make mistakes. The site is not a full time project for me or any one person. It is maintained because I believe it serves a useful purpose and because I'm vain enough to get a lot of pride out of having a super site. Last year total revenue from ads and click throughs was less than $200.00 and total expenses where about $150.00. So, although I'm not looseing money on the site, I'm sure not making any. That's not the purpose of the site anyway. The purpose is to serve and I know that from the amount of traffic the site recieves the site is doing that. The big thing though is that when I do make a mistake I need to know so I can correct it as quickly as possible making the site that much more useful to all of us. Again, thanks to tm and all the rest of you who have been using the site and letting me know when I goof. 6-10-2004 Having some problems shifting FrontPage and the site to another computer and seem to have lost some of the work I did last week, Will be working to bring all of this back up and online in the next few days. Unfortunately will be tied up with a Gunshow in Oklahoma City starting tomorrow and won't be able to get back to the site till Monday when I return but I will update everything again then. 4-14-2004 Added shows and links to two more states, Connecticut and Illinois. The show from Connecticut was submitted by e-mail and thanks to vender Ed Sick for sending the ECA Inc flyer for shows in Illinois. Only as the site obtains the listings of the smaller promoters around the country will it really become as successful as it can be. So, once again, if you are going to shows that are 'NOT" on the list, complain to the promoter. Get a flyer and send it to us and we will get the shows listed as soon as possible.
Gunshows-USA.com Either way, I will get the shows posted and the site will be of
more use to all of us. SOOOOO. Please say something to the promoter
of the shows you're going to. Let them know you use this site.
I know the site is being used by many as it is now getting over 1000 hits a day.
The site should grow even more useful as we add more and more of the promoters
and the gun shows throughout the United States. 2-17-2004 Repaired the broken e-mail link. Thanks to Greg Hollis for reporting it so it could be fixed. If you find as you look around that any of the links are not working please be sure and let me know. Also let me know if there are any other features you feel would improve the site. I must remind you to be sure and check with the promoters and there websites to be sure that shows are being held as scheduled. As I am on the road doing gunshows myself I sometimes will go longer than a week without being able to correct an entry as I'm not home and able to work on the site.
10-9-2003 Latest Update includes 19 links to promoters sites, and shows through the year 2007. 32 states are now represented. Advertisers are being found to help pay for the site thereby assuring that it stays on line. I'm hopeful that many of you will click through to the GunBroker.com, Bargain Outfitters and the Cheaper than websites. By using Gunshows-USA as the starting point before going to these sites, you make it possible for the site to earn commissions. It is our plan to continue to grow gunshows-USA.com over the next few months to where this site becomes the central place for all gunshow attendees to check information on gunshows in there area. Aug 12, 2003, Still working on the makeover the site. I have been on the road with gun shows the last two months and haven't really been able to devote the time I needed to the site. Will be adding much more in the next two weeks as I will be home most of this time. June 23, 2003 Started the complete makeover of the site. It is my hope that this will make the site easier to use and from my side easier to maintain, I hope to have it up and running in the new form next week.
